Swan. Photo taken in April 2011 by Ulla Hennig

Obviously this swan was hoping that something delicious might fall into the water near him. He saw us standing at the water from a long distance and then approached us in turbo speed. We had nothing with us, and after a while he very slowly and with very much dignity swam off.

It is fascinating to leave the noisy city and to explore the countryside. In Berlin you can hear the birds tweeting and chirping, but they are always embedded in the sound of the city – cars, ambulance sirens going on, large groups of people laughing and shouting. On the countryside you only hear the birds, and the wind in the willows.

About Ulla Hennig

I live and work in Berlin. Taking photos is one of my hobbies, and writing is one of my hobbies, too. So I decided not only to show some of my pictures here but also present some of the thought which came wth the pictures.
