Ink and Copics – Crane

Crane

Crane. Drawn with ink and coloured with copics

Cranes are beautiful birds. In spring and autumn they gather at certain places in the northeast of Germany in order to feed before they continue their long journey down south (in spring) or up north (in autumn).

I was lucky enough to watch them a few times last autumn – flying over my head on their way to their sleeping places. They use to sleep standing in or close to the water, where nobody can catch them. They make special noises which allows it to identifiy them long before you can actually see them.

About Ulla Hennig

I live and work in Berlin. Taking photos is one of my hobbies, and writing is one of my hobbies, too. So I decided not only to show some of my pictures here but also present some of the thought which came wth the pictures.
