I like grapes. I like them as grapes, juicy and fresh, together with a piece of cheese. When the day is very hot, I just have them for lunch, nothing else.
I like them as wine: white wine, pure or with sparkling water – a very refreshing drink. Red wine, dark red, sipped slowly.
Be it the fruit or the wine: Both are to be enjoyed, grape after grape eaten slowly, and the wine sipped, not gulped down. How often do we eat too fast, drink too fast. We often don’t know afterwards what we’ve eaten or drunk. Let’s enjoy our food and drink!

This looks delicious! My wife introduced me to frozen grapes as a hot-weather treat. Wow!
Ulla, you’ve left me craving for some Danish blue with white grapes! i have to get that right away!
I also love taking my time on the rare occasions when I enjoy a glass of wine. I prefer dry red and I wished I took more time on every single action in my life, the same way I do with wine.
Ulla, grapes are such a lovely little fruit, and especially at this time of year. There have been times when I have been focused on the goal – nourish body and be done and forgotten to enjoy the blessing of the food. It is a good lesson to keep in mind. Life (and meals) should be savored not gulped!
Ulla, Grapes and cheese are a wonderful combination, with or without wine. I love grapes when they’re really, really cold (not frozen. For some reason, grapes are especially fun to eat outdoors. OK … now I got to find me some grapes!
Grapes ARE good, but I can definitely pass on the raisins. Those have never been a favorite of mine.
Мне эта инфа пригодится!
