I took this photo from a wooden platform at the banks of a pool with white and red water lilies. Looking over the pond I saw all the water lilies most beautifully arranged on the water. Then I turned round and saw this: Green chaos with the two red spots of water lilies.
And that made me think about how we like life to be and how it often is. We (or should I better say: I?) like it structured, well laid out before me. I make my plans – for the day, for the week.
But then, things happen which are not planned. Bad things – and good things. I meet someone accidentally and I spend one or two hours talking with him. I enjoy it, after having decided to throw my plan for the day away. Just as the green chaos in the picture above looks beautiful to me, the chaos of life can be beautiful. Let’s enjoy it!

Love this part – “I enjoy it, after having decided to throw my plan for the day away.”
Spontaneous actions can be wonderful!
Thanks for sharing, Barbara
Learning how to embrace chaos is a huge learning in life – one of the advantages of getting older I think is that we can start to see patterns and non-patterns and learn to let go and enjoy it all

Excellent observations, Ulla! Personally I love it when chaos disrupts the normal routine. Lots more things to learn, usually!
Thanks for your contribution to this month’s project.
It truly is beautiful.
Ulla, the photo is beautiful as are the sentiments! It is interesting how sometimes the true beauty is in what is unplanned, the chaos of life. What a great entry!
Beautiful
[...] I took this picture last sunday when I visited the “Britzer Garten” (Britzer Park/Garden) for the second time this year. The leaves of the water lilies are very neatly arranged on the surface, almost forming geometric patterns. For me it is quite a contrast to the picture in my post “Life is Chaos”. [...]

Ulla, Your photo captures your theme so well! You can fear the unknown or you can embrace it … either way, it’s coming, so you might as well enjoy it.
I am comfortable with chaos but I know lots of people who need plans and order. It makes for interesting conversations! I had one of those “throw away the plan” type moments today. I have a busy schedule this week. I had taken a friend for a hospital appointment and was getting my car to pick her up again ( she is on crutches) when I rounded the corner and ran in to another friend I have not seen for almost a year. She has been through a tough time with her husband who was seriously ill and after a hug she asked if I had time to catch up with her. Now a busy work schedule against a friend in need of an ear – well what comes tops there?
